Mudstack is shutting down

Jordan Stevens / Founder, Head of Customer Success

To everyone who created with Mudstack,
The Mudstack team has some tough news to share.
Mudstack is shutting down, and our agreements with our customers and users terminate on September 14th 2026.
Mudstack existed because artists, technical directors, and producers decided to trust us with their most precious work. We built Mudstack for each and every one of you.
Over the last several years, many of you have filed bug reports, shared feedback, requested features, and kept showing up for us every day. Everything good about this platform came from the community. Thank you.
We understand that many of you have work in flight, and this timeline is disruptive.
Your workspaces stay readable until September 28th, 2026. That's when access ends and the public API is disabled, and it's the last day to get your files off the platform.
You can still sign in.
Signing up and logging in from this website are disabled, but your account still works. Sign in at app.mudstack.com or through the desktop app to get your content until September 28th, 2026.
What you and your teams need to do:
- Push your pending local changes → https://docs.mudstack.com/features/push
- Sync all top level folders in each of your workspaces to pull the full contents down → https://docs.mudstack.com/features/pull-and-sync
- Confirm the sync completed without errors
Anything you've already synced stays on your machine, including work in progress. Nothing disappears from your local disk. The steps above make sure you end up with a complete copy of everything else.
Start early if you can. Large workspaces take a while to come down, and it's better to find a problem with time to spare.
What happens to your data.
After September 28th, 2026, your data may no longer be available for access. All customer data will be permanently destroyed within 90 days of the platform shutting down. None of it is being sold or transferred to any third party.
We've emailed every customer and user directly with this same information, along with the formal termination notice. If you or your team run into any issues, please contact support@mudstack.com and we'll do our best to support you during this time.
Thousands of you have supported Mudstack over the years. We greatly appreciate that support. It's been an amazing journey.
Thank you for being the best part of it,
Jordan and the Mudstack Team
