Mudstack Launches Major Version Control Update to Desktop App in Open Beta

Good news! We’ve launched Local Versions. All the benefits of version control you get using mudstack in the cloud are now available on your local machine.

What is Local Versions?

Local Versions automatically versions local files using mudstack.

Every time a user saves a file, regardless of file type or app, mudstack tracks and stores versions, allowing users to recall old overwritten saves. Users can also preview old versions within the app to keep their local directory clean.

You can view, manage, commit, and roll back art versions based on your needs. Additionally, you can set local destinations to automatically version any folder contents. This can save you and your art team time and worry as you explore changes to your art assets.

We're excited to deliver this update to our customers and community! As we approach our general release, we value your feedback. The team has been working diligently to finalize core functionality and establish a new standard for art asset management and collaboration.
